TURNAROUND TIME/SHIPPING METHODS: We do our best to pack and send every order within 48 hours after receiving it. Artisan candles may take extra time; each is handmade to order, and allowed to cure several days to enhance scent and stabilize wax before travel. Actual ship date will depend on size and number of candles, as well as time of year. If we anticipate needing longer than one week to complete your order, we will typically contact you with an update. Packages under one pound will generally ship USPS First Class unless USPS Priority or Express is specified at checkout. Over one pound will be sent by USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground. Should you wish to use an alternative carrier or require special handling, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make every effort to accommodate you. If we are out of stock on an item, we will email you with a projected in-stock date. You are also welcome to exchange an out-of-stock item for any item of same value.
PRODUCT PACKAGING/SHIPPING MATERIALS: At A Joy Forever, we are continually looking for ways to reduce our environmental footprint, and take a "less is more" approach when it comes to packaging and shipping our products. That's why your face scrub spatula may be made out of bamboo, your soap dish handcrafted out of reclaimed wood, or your soap sampler nestled in an upcycled cigar box (which is really cool!). Reusing just a single cardboard shipping box, for example, significantly cuts back on landfill waste, water use and deforestation, so we try to give a second life to as many as we can. We also opt for mailers whenever possible as they use fewer materials - saving energy in production and transport, and you money.
